This is a note from the JCYA about our 2011 season.
Thank you to everyone that made this a great year at JCYA for the kids! We had over 515 kids in our 2011 season which is an outstanding turnout.
The JCYA Board set out with a lot of goals at the beginning of the year. Our goals included a successful flag football season, a new practice facility, and field improvement items. An additional goal was to have a memorial built for people that are no longer with us in body that were involved in our league as a player, coach, or board member.
Our Board is made up of volunteers so it is very important to thank the following people for their exceptional contributions.
THANK YOU TO:
- Bill Flotho and Jason Flesch for all of their field maintenance activities. They spent countless hours mowing, striping, lettering, numbering and picking up trash at the field.
- Heather Flotho, Carolyn Flanders and Cindy Dierkes for all of their hard work on the concession stand. There is a lot of work involved in the concession stand and they stepped up to the challenge.
- Chris and Tom Marchbanks for all of their help. As a family they put a lot of work into the JCYA over the past few years.
- Holly Kennedy and Felicia Abbot for their outstanding work with the cheerleader program. Their work with our youth is second to none and we are very fortunate to have them.
- Mike Wood for managing our equipment. Mike has done a great job over the past few years working hard to organize our equipment and get us new equipment in inventory.
- Jeff Kimble for handling all our communication. A lot goes into press releases, website updates and email communication.
- Scott Neibert and Geoff Bruce for coordinating our coaches. It is always challenge with new coaches and new players, but they did a great job equipping our coaches with the resources needed to successfully coach.
- Kim Heaney for her efforts in handling our business affairs.
- Rada Latimer for handling all our financial transactions. What a great job!
- All of our COACHES!
- Raejean Krummrich for everything!!!
- And last, but certainly not least, Jeromy Fritz for his selfless dedication and devotion to improving the JCYA organization.
None of these folks expect a pat on the back, but if you get a chance please give them a personal thank you for their efforts. They do it for the kids and for the love of the game.
Lastly, we have listened to your suggestions and concerns. Some of the things that we are planning for 2012 include online registration and a more efficient way of scheduling concession stand duty.
